Black Heron Fly Fishing

The South Fork Toutle River is a wonderful native winter steelhead venue running from late January through Mid March. A typical winter her will average from 10-14 pounds and some run over the 20 pound mark. You occasionally will catch a hatchery origin fish but not often.

This is a walk and cast trip utilizing the road trails and water level to access this fairly small strea.

We provide all fly fishing equipment needed such as rod, reel and lines. Plus, all the leaders, flies and instruction you will need to catch a nice winter on this stream. We do ask that you provide the waders, boots, rain gear and fishing license.

Lunch, snacks and drinks are provided by us during your trip.
