This is the more difficult style of spey casting to learn, using very long bellied fly lines. It is also the most beautiful style holding long loops of fly line in the air behind and infront of you.
The class covers the rods lines and reels used in this style of casting and their differences. Generally larger in size the lines are typically 60- 80 feet long in the head area plus a running line . Thus the reels are also larger in size to accomodate the line sizes.
Covered in this class are the single spey, double spey and circle spey. Plus the left side allowing you to fish almost anywhere you choose.
These casts are more difficult due to the longer D loops generated in the back stroke and we show you how to accomplish these casts with relative ease and a bit of practice.
As always during our classes we stress the need for control over distance and show you why during the class.
Knots and leader construction are also covered with the traditional knots : Improved Clinch, Rapala Knot, Surgeons Loop, Triple Surgeon Knot, Double Turle Knot, Nail Knot.
